Mission Statement

“The Mission of St. PJ’s is to be a safe and loving refuge for children in crisis and to accompany them on their journey to healing and wholeness, breaking the cycle of abuse and neglect one child at a time.”

About This Cause

St. Peter-St. Joseph Children’s Home, affectionately referred to as St. PJ’s, has been helping children and their families for more than a century. Originally founded as an orphanage by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word in 1891, today St. PJ’s is a temporary home to children who have suffered abuse and neglect. St. PJ’s provides wraparound services to children and their families to end the cycle of abuse and neglect. “The Mission of St. PJ’s is to be a safe and loving refuge for children in crisis and to accompany them on their journey to healing and wholeness, breaking the cycle of abuse and neglect one child at a time.” We are a 501 (c) 3 Not for Profit Agency, established in 1891
