About This Cause
House of Neighborly Service (HNS) is a nonprofit, multi-service neighborhood center which has been working with residents of the Westside of San Antonio for over 100 years. We are a community where basic needs are met, where dreams and hopes are nurtured, and where neighborly support is a way of life. Our Core Values are: -CHILD and FAMILY WELLNESS: Our program provides parents and caregivers the tools and skills needed to strengthen the child/parents relationship for healthy growth and development. -CHILD DEVELOPMENT: Kid’s Place Child Development Center improves the social-emotional, physical, and intellectual development of children enrolled in its multi-age classes. Kid's Place is a Texas Rising Star "Three Star" approved Child Care Service (CCS) and "Quality Care Provider". -SENIOR HEALTH: We provide the seniors of our community with a variety of services including- case management, senior lunch service, and even further activities at our Senior Center. FOOD SECURITY: We provide a consistent supply of versatile and nutritious foods for kids, seniors, and their families. These programs provide vital services that meet the identified needs of our Westside community throughout the lifespan.
