About This Cause
Since 1954, the El Paso Child Guidance Center has provided outpatient mental health services for adults, children and families. The Center’s multidisciplinary team of Licensed Professional Counselors, Psychiatrist and Licensed Clinical Social Workers provide a range of mental health services including psychiatric evaluations, individual, family, and group therapy. Treatment services are tailored to meet the individual needs of children and families. The El Paso Child Guidance Center has been accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) for fourteen years. The clinical staff provides therapy to help individuals ages 2 and up with a broad spectrum of problems including: Adults who are experiencing emotional problems. Children and adolescents who have experienced a traumatic event like sexual or physical abuse. Children and adolescents who are experiencing emotional or behavioral problems. Grandparents who are caring for their grandchildren. Couples with problems in their relationship. Trauma is the experience of an event that is emotionally painful or distressful that often results in significant lasting impact on the person's physical, social, mental, and spiritual well-being.
