Boysville is a nationally accredited home for boys and girls, birth through age 23, who have experienced abuse, neglect and/or abandonment.
About This Cause
Founded in 1943, Boysville is a nationally accredited home for boys and girls (ages 0-23), who cannot remain in their home due to abuse, neglect or family crisis. Boysville serves approximately 300 children each year through a continuum of services. We remain unique as we continue to accept privately placed children. Our agency has four essential programs to offer a continuum of care to San Antonio’s most vulnerable citizens. Our Emergency Shelter cares for up to 30 children at a time who are in need of immediate, emergency care. The Residential Program cares for up to 32 children who live on our campus long term. The Supervised Independent Living Program is one of eight licensed programs in the state of Texas to provide housing, case management, therapy and overall support to youth transitioning out of foster care. The Community Based Foster Care Program provides temporary care for children who cannot live with their biological families and are in the custody of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Our mission is to provide a safe, family environment to children in need so that they can become successful adults.
