Mission Statement

Operating as a private, non-profit 501 (c)(3), the Mary Lee Foundation's mission is to serve adults with special needs so that they may develop a sense of dignity, a feeling of self worth, and the skills necessary to socially integrate with and contribute to the community in which they live.

About This Cause

We have three main programs, which each provide multiple services for various populations. Southpointe Program: offers an array of services for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities. These include day habilitation, Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF), transitional living, Home and Community-Based Services (HCS), Texas Home Living (TxHmL), and long term care services. Rehabilitation Center: Mary Lee Foundation Rehabilitation Center (MLFRC) is a post-acute residential program that helps adult survivors of brain injury and other neurological disorders to achieve their highest level of performance in independent living skills and vocational pursuits. Treatment includes cognitive rehabilitation therapy, group therapy, vocational training, life-skills training, and healthcare management instruction. Affordable housing: We have 8 affordable-housing apartment buildings, with 215 affordable units in total. Our low-income housing includes two HUD projects: Flagship is a HUD 202 facility providing assisted living services to the elderly and Charles Place is a HUD 811 facility providing supportive housing to people with disabilities.
