Mission Statement

The mission of Austin Recovery Network is to provide a network of compassionate, community-based, person-centered care to those impacted by substance use disorders, regardless of race, gender, age or station... because EVERYONE is worthy of recovery.

About This Cause

Austin Recovery Network reclaims teens and reunites families. Our programs, University High School and Keystone Alternative Peer Group, are specifically designed for teens seeking recovery from substance use disorders. We aim to increase periods of sobriety and decrease recurrences of use as we empower youth and families to meet their personal recovery goals. Our innovative program components are founded on leading national research and best practices, and provide individualized, challenging recovery support in a fun, safe, and sober environment. University High School: UHS, Austin’s only sober high school, serves 9th-12th grade students in recovery from substance use disorders. Students participate in high quality, accredited academics and receive specialized wrap-around programming that supports their recovery and emotional health. Keystone Alternative Peer Group: Austin’s largest social program for youth in recovery, Keystone APG, engages teens in the fun of recovery. Teens participate in peer-led support groups, weekly activities around Austin, and overnight retreats. Keystone also offers services for caregivers including support groups, special topic sessions and individual work with our Parenting Coordinator.
