Easter Seals provides exceptional services to ensure that all people with disabilities or special needs and their families have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play in their communities.

About This Cause

Easter Seals in San Antonio serves local families in the following capacities: 1. Early Childhood Intervention Program (ECI) Easter Seals is one of the three providers contracted by the State of Texas to provide ECI services in Bexar County. The ECI program services children with disabilities, ages 0-36 months, and their families. Services include, but are not limited to Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Counseling and Case Management. Services are provided to eligible children at no cost or a monthly fee based on a sliding scale and provided in their natural environment. Easter Seals serves approximately 1900 children and families per month, including many military families, in Bexar County with this program. 2. New Beginnings The New Beginnings Program offers guidance and support to adults with chronic mental illness with the objective of empowering adults with mental illness to become productive members of the community through employment. New Beginnings recognizes the disability of mental illness, but focuses on the abilities of the individual. Stability through job placement and job structure is one of the goals of this program.
