Mission Statement
The Intercultural Development Research Association is an independent, non-profit organization. Our mission is to achieve equal educational opportunity for every child through strong public schools that prepare all students to access and succeed in college. IDRA strengthens and transforms public education by providing dynamic training; useful research, evaluation, and frameworks for action; timely policy analyses; and innovative materials and programs. We are committed to the IDRA valuing philosophy, respecting the knowledge and skills of the individuals we work with and build on the strengths of the students and parents in their schools.
About This Cause
At IDRA, we are dedicated to achieving educational equity for all students. Your support will help us get there! For almost 50 years, IDRA has brought together schools, communities and families to ensure student success. We rise to the challenge in times of crisis. When school buildings closed in the spring, IDRA immediately responded by developing the weekly Learning Goes On – A COVID-19 Resource for Education to give students, educators and policymakers real-time tools to minimize the disruption in instruction caused by the pandemic. And, as the nation seeks answers to racial injustice, IDRA built upon its decades-long work to bust the school-to-prison-pipeline and reimagine school safety.
