About This Cause
Adult and Teen Challenge of Texas provides yearlong, residential, Christian faith-based recovery programs for men, women, and teens who are struggling with a life controlling issue, typically substance abuse. We've served San Antonio for 52 years with the opening of our first center and today have grown to operate programs in 10 Texas cities with 400 total beds. The yearlong length of the program, the minimal cost to participants, and our emphasis on transformation- not treatment, separate us from other programs. Our focus is on Christ, believing that a restored relationship with God can transform those struggling into vibrant, free, and sober followers of the Lord. Our practical Bible-based courses help the transition from substance abuse to a life of freedom in Christ. We introduce residents to God's love, initiate the discipleship process, and train them to demonstrate God's love to others. Our yearlong program provides opportunity for residents to confront destructive choices, self-sabotaging behavior, and unhealthy views and replace them with the truth found in God’s Word.
