Entertaining and educating Texas audiences since 1976, Gilbert & Sullivan Austin is dedicated to spreading the topsy-turvy humor and joyful music of W. S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan.
About This Cause
Gilbert and Sullivan Austin was founded in 1976 with the purpose of educating the public and preserving the works of Gilbert and Sullivan. For more infomation visit www.gilbertsullivan.org GRAND SUMMER PRODUCTION - Each summer we produce a complete production of a Gilbert & Sullivan opera - orchestra, costumes, gorgeous sets, and talented singers. MUSICALES - Throughout the year we have Musicales which vary in content - some are singing performances and scenes from G&S shows - some are audience participation (singing!) – and some are Galas which include music and other entertainment. WAND’RING MINSTRELS – Our Wand'ring Minstrels are the ambassadors for the Society to the Central Texas community through performances at schools and special events. Delightfully fun shows range from lively recitals of Gilbert & Sullivan's most popular tunes to interactive, mini-productions of the Society's full summer productions. We perform everything Gilbert & Sullivan - and if you like - you can join in with the singing as well.
