The Parkinson Association of the Rockies connects and empowers people with Parkinson's to thrive through educating, creating awareness, promoting research and supporting those with the disease, their families and the Colorado community.
About This Cause
Over one million Americans are living with Parkinson’s disease. Seventeen thousand of them live in Colorado. Parkinson’s is diagnosed six times more often than Multiple Sclerosis and is one of the most common neurological diseases; second only to Alzheimer’s. Parkinson’s is a progressive and debilitating disease that has significant social and financial effects throughout Colorado. More importantly, the Parkinson Association of the Rockies is providing critical services which have meaningful impacts on the quality of life for those affected by Parkinson’s disease. We are providing the care that counts on the way to a cure! We are dedicated to serving the Parkinson’s disease community Enhancing Lives - Connecting Communities The Parkinson’s Association of the Rockies provides the vital care that counts on the way to a cure by enhancing the quality of life for individuals with Parkinson’s disease through education, research, awareness and support for those with the disease, their families and the community. The Parkinson’s Association of the Rockies is: *A unique organization in the Rocky Mountain region, dedicated to providing innovative programs and resources to those living with Parkinson’s disease, their care partners and the broader community. *Continually expanding programs and services to further reach underserved Parkinson’s populations. Since its formation in 1981, the Parkinson’s Association of the Rockies has been a valuable resource to the Colorado community, providing direct care services including support groups, in-home case assessment and an information hotline to individuals living with Parkinson’s, their families and care partners, as well as the general community. Through their tangible and innovative resources, the Parkinson’s Association’ of the Rockies provides the care that counts on the way to a cure.
