About This Cause
Rise Recovery helps teens, young adults, and families overcome the effects of substance use disorder by providing no-cost, peer-led recovery support services in San Antonio and Bexar County. Using the Alternative Peer Group (APG) model, Rise Recovery offers structured programming that includes individual and family counseling, school-based interventions across nine school districts, and Rise Inspire Academy, San Antonio’s only certified recovery high school. Additional services include telehealth, family support programs, grief support, and community outreach. In FY24, Rise Recovery served 4,526 individuals, provided 2,062 counseling sessions, and engaged 698 students in school-based intervention programs.
