Mission Statement

Candlelighters is committed to the mission that no family should have to fight childhood cancer alone. Our organization remains the sole provider of free services in the region offering support, advocacy, and education to children diagnosed with cancer (birth to 25), their families, and the community-at-large. Our continuum of care addresses the prolonged strain; financial, emotional, and social, that a family encounters when their child begins to battle this life threatening disease. Our services begin immediately following the diagnosis and continue beyond the treatment period to ensure that families have the best chance of regaining normalcy in their lives.
