Mission Statement
The Summit Foundation is a community public foundation dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents and guests of Summit County and neighboring communities.
About This Cause
Over the past 31 years, The Summit Foundation has provided $19.5 million in grants to over 200 nonprofit organizations operating programs in Summit, Lake, Park and Grand Counties. In addition, $2.5 million has been awarded in scholarships to local high school graduates pursuing post-secondary education. The cornerstone of The Summit Foundation's fund-raising efforts is the patron pass program graciously donated through a partnership with Vail Resorts, Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, and Copper Mountain Resort. We greatly appreciate the contributions these ski areas provide annually as the program generates over $1 million in revenue each year to enable The Summit Foundation's grants to nonprofit organizations and students throughout our mountain communities.
