About This Cause
The Center was formed in 1985 and has been serving our community for over 30 years. We exist to help seniors of the Rim Country live a more active and secure life through a variety of programs to meet their needs. Our staff and volunteers are passionate about helping our seniors maintain dignity while aging. Aging comes with a price with the three biggest threats being hunger, isolation, and depression. It is critical for seniors to have the resources and support available to assist them in living a quality of life. We embrace life together. We laugh together, share stories, grieve together, and help each other. The Center serves over 32,000 meals annually to local homebound. We make over 7,000 door to door trips annually with our Senior Transportation service. In the Center, we offer health and wellness activities, music and dance classes, lunch, crafts, games, and more. We offer free services such as medical equipment, legal assistance, advocacy services, dementia caregiver's support, more. The Center relies heavily on the generosity of businesses, foundations, and individuals for support and donations.
