Mission Statement
We first opened our doors in 1988, and we haven’t closed them since – not for a day, not for an hour – because families depend on us. Over the years, more than 35,000 families from all over the world have walked through our doors seeking medical aid for their children. And over the years, we’ve welcomed all of them with open arms.
About This Cause
For over 25 years, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area has been dedicated to the health and happiness of children everywhere. And while we can’t always make the medicine taste better, we can certainly ease the pain of a much-needed treatment, and quicken the pace of a long-term recovery. Our Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms provide a temporary home-away-from-home that serves and sustains families of children receiving treatment at area hospitals. Seriously ill or injured children heal much faster and cope much better when surrounded by loved ones, and we offer our house as a place where families can rest and regroup; hope and heal; laugh and love. Together. Through the help of our partner in care, McDonald's – as well as through the donations and gifts from individuals, corporations, organizations and foundations – the Ronald McDonald House in Salt Lake City continues to keep its doors open, and continues to fulfill its mission to support and assist every child who stands in need.
