Mission Statement
Help & Hope Center (previously known as Douglas/Elbert Task Force) endeavors to meet the immediate needs of residents of Douglas & Elbert counties who are in financial distress and at risk of becoming homeless, to help them work through troublesome times with dignity.
About This Cause
To help clients maintain dignity through economic hardship and personal challenges, we provide the following services: - personalized attention - food, personal hygiene items and pet food through our food bank - clothing and household items though our thrift store - utility assistance - rent assistance - emergency overnight lodging - assistance in obtaining identification - payment of G.E.D. testing fees - birthday room and holiday programs - information and referrals to guide clients to other available resources
