Mission Statement

Our mission is to advance the quality of life for older adults through advocacy, community partnerships, and a variety of direct services planned to sustain their health and independence.

About This Cause

The Senior Hub, Inc. was established in 1986 as the regional resource and referral center for older adults in Adams County. Since that time, our scope of services has expanded along with our service area as the population of older adults continues to grow and their need for supportive services increases. Meals on Wheels: greatly improves the quality of life for older adults by providing and delivering a hot, nutritious noontime meal to homebound people in our area. Perhaps of equal importance is the daily visit from our friendly volunteer drivers. Rural MOW: helps maintain and improve the nutritional levels of older adults in Bennett, Strasburg, Watkins, Byers, and Deer Trail. Program participants receive hot meals delivered 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) with additional cold meals to heat up for Tuesday and Thursday. Homecare: uses professional caregivers to provide short term, in-home respite care (a break for caregivers) and supportive services for frail older adults. Well Elder: equips seniors with an Android tablet and wearable watch that helps them stay connected with their health care team, care circle, family, and friends. They receive training and support on the technology to assist with utilization and connections. Adult Day Services: temporarily suspended due to COVID. Our day center provides a safe environment for older adults to spend the day with peers in activities, arts & crafts, discussion groups, games, and light exercise. Participants receive a hot lunch and snacks throughout the day.
