Mission Statement
Hill Country Crisis Council is dedicated to stopping the cycle of violence, sexual assault and child abuse through education, intervention and assistance.
About This Cause
Hill Country Crisis Council, established in 1984, serves five counties in the Texas Hill Country. HCCC employs a large staff of professionals, therapists, and trauma-trained specialists to assist all victims of sexual assault, child sexual/physical abuse and domestic violence. HCCC operates an emergency shelter for those escaping child abuse. We provide counseling, legal advocacy and medical advocacy for all victims. We also operate a children's advocacy center where child victims come to give recorded statements about their abuse, working in conjunction with law enforcement as well as five District Courts in the state of Texas. We provide hospital accompaniment to victims going to the hospital for sexual assault exams, as well as medical exams. HCCC also has a prevention and education program for area students, and reach an average of 6,000 children per year. All of our services are confidential and free of charge.
