To transform our communities by loving God, loving our neighbors, serving the poor, sharing the gospel, and equipping everyone to be spirit-led leaders in our own homes and lives.
About This Cause
The Vineyard is an evangelical church which believes in the divine inspiration of the Bible. Our worship is Christ-centric. But we also believe that God moves super-naturally today through his people and we talk quite naturally about the power and work of the Holy Spirit. The Austin Vineyard is an ordinary community of believers, but it is extraordinary how different it feels from your typical church. It is down-to-earth and casual. We take God seriously but don't take ourselves too seriously. We value transparency about our faults and weaknesses, believing that honesty with God and with others leads to spiritual growth. Our attitude is to get over ourselves so that we can get to know God better and serve others as if serving Jesus. We are a community of believers who believe that God loves using ordinary folks like us to change the world. The Vineyard is a very diverse community. We believe that Christ came for everyone and loves everyone. We believe that as God's children we are to encourage racial healing and genuine fellowship across socio-economic barriers. We proclaim peace across political aisles and international borders, following the lead of a Savior who crossed the great divide for us. While our differences are real, they are secondary to our identity as members of the family of God and disciples of Jesus. Food Pantry/Urban Farm - As a member of the Central Texas Food Bank, our church volunteers are able to provide for the needs of those in the North Austin, TX area. In addition to the food we are blessed with from the Central Texas Food Bank, volunteers maintain an Urban Farm that produces thousands of pounds of organic produce each year which are added to the groceries provided to those in need.
