Mission Statement
Asian Family Support Services of Austin provides support and advocacy to Asian and other immigrant survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault, and trafficking. AFSSA pays special attention to the unique social, cultural, and familial circumstances of Asian communities, offering culturally-grounded services in over 30 languages.
About This Cause
Asian Family Support Services of Austin is a nonprofit organization that has worked since 1992 to provide support and advocacy to Asian and other immigrant victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and trafficking. We also prevent abuse and violence through community outreach and education. Although our outreach is focused on the Asian community, we serve anyone who comes to us. We take referrals from law enforcement, hospitals, community organizations and from other social service providers. Survivors can also reach us through our hotline or email us. In 2022, we provided direct services to 237 clients, answered 890 hotline calls, and served in 32 languages. We provided community education and outreach services to over 30,000 community members through in-person and digital outreach.
