About This Cause
The American Stroke Foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization supported by United Way, individual donations, program fees, fundraising events, community partners, and grants. The Next Step program at the American Stroke Foundation is a wellness program to help stroke survivors continue to improve and regain independence in daily living skills. Next Step offers classes and programs that are designed to address survivors' physical, cognitive, social, and emotional well-being in a welcoming group environment. Programs are facilitated by occupational therapy staff, students, volunteers, and stroke survivors.
