Emancipet is a nonprofit on a mission to make high-quality spay/neuter and veterinary care affordable and accessible to all pet owners. We envision a future where all pets are happy, healthy and living with families whose lives they enrich.
About This Cause
When Emancipet was founded in 1999 in Austin, Texas, we had a single mobile clinic. It brought our veterinarians to communities in need to perform 5,000 spay/neuter surgeries annually. Today, we're expanding nationwide to offer high-quality, affordable veterinary clinics; offer training programs to animal welfare organizations; and advocate for public policy that improves the lives of pets in underserved communities. We believe that every pet needs and deserves high-quality veterinary care to keep them healthy and happy for their entire lives. But we know that a visit to the vet is financially out of reach for many families, and inaccessible in some communities. We’re here to change that. *** This year, Emancipet’s nonprofit clinics will provide free and low-cost veterinary care to nearly a quarter-of-a-million cats and dogs in underserved communities. *** To keep that care free and low-cost, we need to raise $16 for each visit we’ll see across our clinics. Just $16 is enough to ensure a pet gets the care they need to live a happy healthy life. Will you sponsor a visit for a pet (or two, or ten!) today?
