The Blessing Foundation seeks to care for the poor and the underserved, working with communities leaders in the villages of Africa to equip, empower, and disciple them to disciple others thereby passing down the legacy
About This Cause
The Blessing Foundation (TBF) functions in the following program areas: 1. Health, Medical, and Vision Care - TBF provides healthcare outreaches and medical screening and vision care in the interior villages of Africa. In this program, medical professionals from the United States and local hospitals are engaged in providing outpatient medical care and treatment to the poor. Over the past eight years, TBF has treated over 16,000 patients in numerous villages and communities, particularly in Uganda. We are currently building a health center in Bujuuko Uganda, an area where medical outreach has been determined to be in high demand. We will also continue with outpatient medical treatment and eye care outreaches using the health center in Bujuuko as our headquarters. 2. Education - Provides financial aid to educate the poor and orphas at the elementary up to university levels. Recently the organization graduated a general surgeon/family physician from The Kampala International University in Uganda and another student graduated with a major in hospital administration. 3. Women/Widow Care- TBF assist widows and women to start small businesses. This is done through a project called "The Blessed Women". This program empowers women in groups to use their God-given talents to take care of themselves and their families as well as encourage one another. 4. Social Enterprise: This Program focuses on agricultural develpments working together with local leaders to create employment and provide essential food items. Fucus on agriculture is in the areas cultivating maize, cassava, peanuts, and Irish potatoes. The Blessing Foundation also distributes food in Uganda, Madagascar, and Nigeria. We care for over 1,300 people each year, especially during festive times of the year. 5. Partnership/Training: We partner with other organization to drill bore holes for clean water suplly. in 2021 we drilled a bore hole that will supply clean water at the health center, now under construction by The Blessing Foundation, for over 30 years. This water well also provides clean drinking water for a nearby village. In addition, we work with local leaders to provide leadership training that promotes accountability and integrity.
