About This Cause
Our foundation, an outreach organization associated with CHRISTUS Health, was established in 1966 as St. Joseph’s Foundation for the purpose of supporting and advancing the work of one Houston hospital, the city’s historic CHRISTUS St. Joseph. After selling the hospital in 2005, St. Joseph’s Foundation became CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare with the focus shifting to provide primary healthcare and related services to the uninsured and underserved of the Greater Houston/Galveston areas. Our programs include CHRISTUS Our Daily Bread, CHRISTUS St. Mary's Clinic, CHRISTUS Point of Light Clinic, CHRISTUS School Clinics, CHRISTUS Healthy Living Mobile Clinics, CHRISTUS Operation San Jose, and CHRISTUS Learning Center.
