Founded in 1956 through a unique partnership between the Diocese of Dallas and a group of dedicated lay people, the University of Dallas is a private, Catholic, co-educational university open to students of all faiths. Offering nearly 30 undergraduate majors, 30 master's programs, 4 doctoral programs and 10 graduate certificate programs, the university provides an academically rigorous environment with a supportive community of faculty, staff and students from diverse backgrounds.

UD currently enrolls more than 1,300 undergraduate students and 1,200 graduate students from across the U.S. and the world. The university has been consistently ranked as one of the top regional universities and enjoys a spot in the list of the top 10 Catholic colleges in the West by U.S. News & World Report and in the top 15 Catholic colleges nationwide by Forbes. Our 750-acre main campus is located in Irving, Texas, just minutes away from the exciting shopping, entertainment and cultural destinations of downtown Dallas. On-campus facilities include six residence halls, two dining facilities, a church open to students of all faiths, a world- class research library and a number of recreational facilities. We also boast 14 men's and women's varsity sports teams and are proud members of the NCAA's Division III.
