Mission Statement

To provide visionary leadership and develop partnerships that promote dignity and independence for elderly seniors by delivering nutritious meals and quality services. Wise County Committee on Aging, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting seniors in our community. One of our primary programs, Meals on Wheels, delivers hot, nutritious meals to over 125 senior citizens who are unable to prepare meals for themselves or lack someone to assist them. As the number of seniors in need continues to grow, we welcome new clients to the program each month. In addition to providing meals, our dedicated volunteers offer daily wellness checks and meaningful social interaction, helping frail and homebound seniors maintain their independence and remain in the comfort of their own homes. For many of our clients, these visits are their only connection to the outside world. We also provide health and nutritional information through our monthly newsletter, assist with referrals to other essential services, and help clients stay connected to the community by sharing local news. Beyond Meals on Wheels, we offer transportation services from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, ensuring clients can attend medical appointments, pick up prescriptions, shop for groceries, visit the beauty salon, and meet other individual needs. Join us in delivering these vital services to our most deserving citizens. Together, we can make a lasting difference.
