Mission Statement
The mission of Hope's Door is to offer intervention and prevention services to individuals and families affected by domestic violence and to provide education programs that enhance the community's capacity to respond.
About This Cause
Hope's Door New Beginning Center (HDNBC), serving North Texas, specializing in comprehensive intervention and prevention services for all members of a family affected by domestic violence - from victim to abuser. HDNBC, established in the late 1980's, provides a 24-Hour Hotline answered in English and Spanish. Women and child clients may stay in one of two shelters with a total of 44 beds while male victims are housed in local hotels. Services include counseling for adults and children, case management, legal advocacy, transitional housing, and services for abusers. Annually, Hope's Door New Beginning Center responds to more than 5,640 hotline calls, shelters more than 570 women and children, placed over 207 individuals in transitional housing and provides counseling and legal advocacy to more than 2,300 survivors.
