About This Cause
As the safety-net for Dallas County, Parkland is there when you need us the most – for the most vulnerable among us and for the most complicated, traumatic injuries and illnesses. And the need is staggering: About 1 million residents in Dallas County are uninsured or on Medicaid and critical trauma patients arrive at our doors every day. You can also find Parkland serving thousands of people in every corner of Dallas County. We partner with schools, faith-based organizations, social service organizations and others to not only provide access to services and health education, but to also address the social determinants that impact health. Preventing illness and injury keeps our community healthy, while helping us stretch our tax dollars further. And because of our innovative approaches to care, Parkland is helping determine better ways to deliver population-based care nationwide to help control the rising cost of care. Building a healthy community is a responsibility we take very seriously. We invite you to stand with us and share our commitment to making a difference.
