Mission Statement

The mission of the Nancy Lee and Perry R Bass Performance Hall is to serve as a permanent home to major performing arts organizations of Fort Worth and as a premier venue for other attractions so as to enhance the range, quality, and accessibility of cultural fare available to the public; to promulgate arts education; and to contribute to the cultural life of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, and the region.

About This Cause

Performing Arts Fort Worth (PAFW) owns and operates the Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Performance Hall, a world-caliber, state-of-the-art, award-winning performance venue in downtown Fort Worth, Texas that opened in 1998. More than 300,000 patrons visit annually Bass Performance Hall, which presents and supports excellence in performing arts and arts education. Bass Hall is home to its four resident companies, including the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra (FWSO), Texas Ballet Theater (TBT), Fort Worth Opera (FSWO), and The Cliburn and its quadrennial Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. PAFW presents acclaimed touring productions under its Broadway at the Bass and Popular Entertainment Series in addition to renowned performing artists from around the globe. Through extensive Education and Outreach initiatives, Bass Hall has served as a "classroom" for more than 1.7 million participants, providing arts education free of charge annually to 70,000 students and teachers from Fort Worth and across North Texas. PAFW practices IDEA (Inclusion Diversity Equity Accessibility) and offers a welcoming environment to ensure everyone in our community is able to enjoy the best performing arts experiences at Bass Hall and across our community.
