About This Cause
CMDFW has always supported the local community in times of need from Hurricane Relief to other disaster relief efforts from member-supported donations and has been a responsible organization in the D/FW area, around the United States and across the globe. Supports North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) where CMDFW volunteers help in preparing and donating meals that NTFB delivers to its clientele · At CMDFW we have been providing meals to the local Police (Dallas, Plano and Irving Police departments) during Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays · Here are some projects CMDFW supported as part of Covid-19 Relief: o Donated 150 N-95 masks to the Irving Police Department (see picture and Irving PD acknowledgment attached) o Teamed up with the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF) to provide meals to First Responders. o Raised funds (ongoing effort) to help the North Texas Food Bank. o Offered meals to frontline healthcare workers - see the article here: https://www.dallasnews.com/news/2020/05/13/north-texas-hindus-provide-more-than-20000-meals-to-coronavirus-frontline-workers/
