About This Cause
Lourdes Tricerri founder of Taking a Leap of Faith Ministries leads short term and long terms missions trips throughout Uganda. We are working on establishing permanently partnered ministries located in the villages surrounding Lyontonde. In 2016, we completed construction on 3 water wells in parts of Lyantonde, Uganda. These Wells serve as the only water source for the villages surrounding them. In early 2017 we began a food distribution program throughout 9 different villages, we have managed to feed 2,000 people from the 193 families that we assisted in 2016. Our main focus in 2017 is on the critical and vulnerable elderly, women & children. We are currently housing 5 children in the first of many homes for abandoned and orphaned children. In 2018 we began to build the school that will board Orphaned children and give children that come from very poor families the opportunity to attend school to make their futures brighter. In 2023 we have completed building the school. We have now begun to construct the living quarters for the unhoused children. We are looking to raise money to purchase a bus to get the children to and from the school safely. We have a program called Vision 4 Life which helps children with vision issues get the medical attention they need.
