Mission Statement
We know the strength of a community lies in our diversity and the care we show towards each other. As a Title 1 school, we serve many families where making ends meet can be a daily challenge. Barnard Elementary School is a special place where students from grades PK3 to 5th from different backgrounds come together to learn and grow. Our motto is: Only The Best Is Good Enough! We believe that every child deserves the chance to grow into their full potential. Our PTA helps bridge the gap between what the school receives in funding and the unique needs of our majority low-income students.
About This Cause
The Barnard Bears PTA is the parent teacher association for the Barnard Elementary School in Washington, DC. The PTA is a group of families and staff working together to help support the Barnard community. Barnard Elementary resides in the Petworth neighborhood of DC, one of the most diverse areas of the city. Barnard is a title 1 school. From creating exciting student enrichment experiences to providing clothing and basic essentials like socks, underwear, winter coats, shoes, and school uniforms, to helping support teacher engagement activities, your tax-deductible contributions will make a big difference for children!
