Mission Statement
Brother Bill’s Helping Hand is a Christian, non-profit organization that serves the West Dallas community. We have numerous free programs, including: Grocery Store, Community Clinic, Job Training, Kids Programs, and many educational classes and annual events. We have served as a community center for over 76 years by empowering through learning, encouraging through relationships, and ensuring the essentials of life.
About This Cause
Brother Bill’s Helping Hand has been serving the West Dallas community for more than 75 years. Its core programs include a grocery store, where neighbors have access to healthy food; access to quality healthcare for the uninsured; and education programs that include English classes, computer courses and fitness programs. West Dallas is one of the poorest parts of the city of Dallas. In fact, 50% of students live below the poverty line and approximately 80% of all students are economically disadvantaged. The team and volunteers at Brother Bill’s Helping Hand are focused on engaging, supporting and empowering its neighbors so that they can rise up out of poverty.
