To lead the effort in preventing Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault through crisis intervention, assistance, advocacy, empowerment and social change.
About This Cause
Montgomery County Women’s Center (MCWC) provides supportive trauma informed services to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Through a strength-based model of empowerment, MCWC supports Women, Men, and Children free of charge encompassing 24 hour on call Advocacy, Counseling, Crisis Hotline, Legal Services, Outreach, Shelter as well as Transitional Housing. Our The Advocacy team supports survivors of sexual assault on a 24 hour basis at Montgomery & Harris County hospitals alongside Forensic Nurses. Advocates foster choices, empowerment, and healing during the survivor’s ER stay, as well as connect the survivor with supportive community resources once the survivor is home.
