Mission Statement
The Community Music Center of Houston (CMCH) preserves black music traditions, especially those that are little known or to which communities are seldom exposed.
About This Cause
CMCH is a 501(c)(3) non-profit music performance and education organization. Founded in 1979, CMCH performs and produces all genres of black music including: Classical, R&B, Jazz, Blues, Gospel, African, Big Band and Musical theater. CMCH offers performance opportunities for novices and the more experienced. It also, offers educational workshops, music lessons for children and adults, advanced master classes, plus after school programming.
