Mission Statement
Our Mission Epiphany Community Health Outreach Services (ECHOS) serves people in need by providing access to the health and social service resources that can improve their lives. Our Vision is a community where all people can have access to resources needed to build healthy and productive lives.
About This Cause
APPLICATION ASSISTANCE We provide on-site help to families who are unable to access affordable health care and who do not have medical insurance coverage in completing and submitting applications for state and county healthcare benefits and social services like SNAP. Clients are not simply “handed” applications for services but are assisted in completing their application with staff checking the accuracy of their supporting documentation. New applicants receive a follow-up phone call to confirm program acceptance or to provide additional guidance when needed. HEALTHCARE AND SCREENINGS We also provide on-site health care services and screenings promoting healthier and more productive lives. During the COVID-19 pandemic, these services include: *Children’s Immunizations from Texas Children's Hospital's Mobile Clinic *Vaccine clinics with Memorial Hermann and Harris County Public Health *Mammograms with The Rose FINANCIAL STABILITY Clients receive assistance with meeting basic needs and self-sufficiency. Assistance is free and includes: *Rental and utility assistance *Food-only gift cards *Domestic violence support *Case management/coaching *Referrals There are no other ministries or programs in the greater Houston area that provide both application assistance and onsite access to other medical/social services to this population in the unique ways that we do. Our impact is recognized when the health, social and educational needs of our clients are met and when the community comes together for the common good. ECHOS IS A NON-PROFIT 501(C)3 CORPORATION.
