The Children's Cabinet exists to keep children safe and families together. We serve children ages 0 to 24 and help over 10,000 Nevada families each year. Services are free and available to the public.
About This Cause
The Children's Cabinet Mission: To Keep Children Safe & Families Together Locations: Reno, Carson City, Elko, and Las Vegas, Nevada Programs & Services: The Children’s Cabinet serves children ages 0 to 24 and their parents. We have dozens of programs, which work together to meet material, physical, psychological, and educational needs. Our services are free and available to all families. They include: • Family Counseling • Parenting Classes • Child Care Subsidies and Resources • Training for Child Care Providers • Food Pantries And, Specifically For Teenagers & Young Adults: • Redfield Academy, Alternative High School • Work Experience for Teens • Mental Health Resources • Transitional Support for Foster Youth • Outreach for Homeless and Runaway Youth A Private-Public Partnership: The Cabinet works with public agencies (Social Services, Juvenile Services, School District, and Family Court, among others) to identify and address the needs of children in our community. A unique and effective collaboration. An Open Door: The Children’s Cabinet helps over 10,000 Nevada families each year
