Mission Statement
Christian Financial Ministries has served the last 25 years as a singularly unique, full-time, Bible-based financial education, teaching, training, coaching, mentoring, and counseling, IRS approved 501(c) (3) nonprofit, nondenominational ministry. We are financial literacy instructors, coaches and mentors who deal exclusively in the area of personal and family finances and financial leadership.
About This Cause
1. Overview: Christian Financial Ministries has served the last 25 years as a singularly unique, full-time, Bible-based financial education, teaching, training, coaching, mentoring, and counseling, IRS approved 501(c) (3) nonprofit, nondenominational ministry. We are financial literacy instructors, coaches and mentors who deal exclusively in the area of personal and family finances and financial leadership. (More “History” at #8 below.) 2. Vision/Destination Statement—describes WHERE we want to be in the future; communicates both our purpose and our values. Our vision is to be a “best of class”, Holy Spirit led ministry that offers FREE and fee-based services to help educate, equip and empower individuals to understand, apply, and pass on Bible-based spiritual, financial, and leadership principles and practices that: (1) Help people come to, or back to, a personal and growing relationship with God through Jesus Christ, (2) Strengthen their family, and (3) Proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. 3. Mission Statement—concentrates on the here and now; defines our clients, critical processes, and describes desired performance levels. The mission of Christian Financial Ministries to help historically unreachable/underserved individuals who would otherwise not be in a position to afford or receive help to become spiritual and financial leaders as they keep (1) their finances out of bankruptcy, (2) their homes and businesses out of foreclosure, and (3) their marriages from divorce, as they (4) learn to build strong, Godly relationships, (5) grow and pass on wealth, (6) and help lead others to do the same. 4. Motto--“Financial Freedom God’s Way: Learn It, Live It, Lead It”. 5. Strategy—our plans and methods to reach our Vision and accomplish our Mission. Our primary prayer and strategy is that the Lord will initially draw individuals to the Academy in order to become successful in handling their personal finances—to “learn it” and “live it”. Our prayer and strategy is also that along the way the Lord will touch their hearts to become significant—to “lead it”. This means that our primary focus is no longer to build a successful Bible-based financial teaching and counseling ministry. Our focus is now to become significant as we lead others to become successful and significant Bible-based financial leader-coaches. We will do that by adding unique, world-class value to our clients by combining the best Bible-based “financial” coaching practices and techniques with world class, certified coaching, mentoring, and leadership training from the John Maxwell Team. We will also work with our leader-coaches to help add more value to those whom they lead and coach. Question: Why do most folks take Bible-based and/or secular-based financial seminars, workshops, etc. and still tend to crash and burn financially? Answer: Because they are not fully trained! The Bible shows that a person is not fully trained until he or she prayerfully and effectually gets what the Holy Spirit gives him or her up and operating in his or her own life AND up and operating in the life of others as well. Therefore, part of our strategy to realize our Vision and accomplish our Mission is to educate, train, equip, and support over time “world class” individual Bible-based financial leader-coaches. Individuals will work through a distinct and sequential three-step, “first in class”, internet-only, Bible-based process designed to help successfully identify, correct, and overcome root spiritual, financial, relational, and leadership issues rather than just treating the financial symptoms. Three-Step Process • Step 1: “Learn It”: 90-Day, Your Finances in Perilous Times On-Line Seminar: (What God’s Word has to say about handling money and why.) Small groups and individual Team Members will receive free (donations sought but not required), Bible-based spiritual education built on the foundation of… “God’s Three Questions”, The two most important biblical financial principles, Six key Bible Memory Verses, and Seven critical spiritual tools. o 90-Day, Your Finances in Perilous Times On-Line Workshop. Small groups and individual Team Members will receive free (donations sought but not required), tools to apply what God’s Word has to say about handling money. Team Members will… Discover their individual God-designed financial personality profile so that each will have a clear picture of how God has wired them to give, spend, save, and invest the financial resources He brings into their lives…and into the lives of those closest to them. Discover the importance the Bible places on their mind, understand how their mind works, then learn to use their mind to its best advantage in the financial decision making process. Understand what it takes to change personal financial habits. Develop and record very specific, personal financial goals by learning to follow a very specific financial goal planning and setting process. Continue to dig deep into scriptural memory. Adapt God’s 7 spiritual tools to their finances Learn a simple, straight forward, step by step process to set up and live on a written spending plan–a budget. • Step Two: “Live It”. Individuals receive highly subsidized (grant supported)/fee-based Personal Financial Life and Leadership Coaching to help apply the spiritual and financial principles and applications learned in the Step One Seminar and Workshop. • Step Three: “Lead It”. This is where individuals receive highly subsidized (grant supported)/fee-based education, training, coaching and mentoring to enter into either full-time or part time ministry to help disciple others to prepare and disciple others. Individuals must opt to minister either under the authority of their local church or as an IRS approved independent 501-c-3 non-profit corporation. I (Dr. Louder) will provide individuals financial coaching, mentoring, and leadership training based on over 25 years of experience as Founder and President of Christian Financial Ministries and having served with Christian Financial Concepts (Larry Burkett), Crown Financial Ministries, the Dave Ramsey organization. In addition, God willing, by March 2016 it will be my great honor to become a certified John Maxwell Team Member. As you can see, we focus on a Process, not an Event. Why? Because successful spiritual and financial leaders are learners. The most effective and efficient learning processes are ongoing and are the result of self-discipline and perseverance. The goal each day must be to get a little better, to build on the previous day’s progress. The problem is that most people overestimate the importance of events and underestimate the power of processes. For example, if you need to be inspired to take steps forward, then attend an event. However, if you want to improve, then you need to engage and stick with a process. EVENTS(other financial literacy groups) PROCESS (Our On-Line Academy) Events encourage decisions/Processes encourage development Events motivate people/Processes matures people Events are a calendar issue/Processes are a culture issue Events are a balance sheet issue/Processes are cash flow statement issues Events challenges people/Processes change people Events are easy/Processes are difficult Finally, our Strategy also includes (1) offering “Second Mile Service”, (2) keeping our costs as low as possible, (3) not spend money on advertising, (4) and leverage the spiritual gifts and talents God provides through His people.
