Mission Statement
SCVPAA's mission is to promote the live performance of high-quality symphonic, operatic, and choral works in the Santa Clara Valley at an affordable cost, and to encourage the growth of classical music audiences. To this end, the Mission Chamber Orchestra of San Jose was created in 1996.

The mission of the Mission Chamber Orchestra of San Jose (MCOSJ) is to encourage the growth of classical music audiences by delivering high-quality, affordable performances relevant to Santa Clara Valley’s diverse population. Goals: Mission Chamber Orchestra 1. Provide innovative, interactive programming 2. Appeal to family audiences at affordable prices 3. Offer concerts in venues which are relaxed and intimate, yet suitable for professional performances 4. Provide ongoing opportunities for professional-level musicians to work together 5. Identify and encourage talented local musicians and composers by offering them professional-quality performance opportunities
