Mission Statement

Corpus Christi Food Pantry and Assistance, Inc. is a 501 (C) 3 non-profit established in 1999. Since that time we have been dedicated to preventing hunger and homelessness in our community. Corpus Christi Food Pantry and Assistance is a safety net for families (in need of food and financial assistance) who do not qualify for government assistance or for whom that assistance is not sufficient or delayed in coming. These families live paycheck to paycheck and even a small emergency can create a serious crisis to their households. All services are offered to help prevent hunger and homelessness and to help clients and their families on their journey to achieving self-sufficiency. They are offered without regard to race, religion, country of origin or gender.

About This Cause

The Corpus Christi Food Pantry helps prevent hunger. Our goal is to serve our clients while preserving their dignity. We provide food, basic toiletries and basic cleaning supplies to all Nashua residents who are in need. Our goal is to provide 3 to 5 days of food per client every 21 days. We are unique in that each client chooses their supplies from a list of what’s available and then these items are bagged for them to take home immediately. The Food Pantry may also supply a simple gift for a child’s birthday or basic back-to-school supplies during a client’s visit. Additionally Thanksgiving and Easter food basket distributions occur coordinated with the local community. In special support of our seniors Corpus Christi Food Pantry delivers food to four low income elderly housing complexes in Nashua once a week. The Corpus Christi Assistance program helps to prevent homelessness. The Assistance Program provides a short term safety net for those who do not qualify for government assistance or for whom that assistance is insufficient or delayed. Working directly with clients one-on-one via phone or in the office Corpus Christi Assistance identifies and offers practical information in dealing with the social services network within Greater Nashua. We provide all clients with financial guidance (referrals, budgeting, planning and advocacy). Those clients who are eligible also receive help to prevent evictions and utility shut-offs, to assist with transportation, education and other basic needs. The Assistance program works in collaboration with the Greater Nashua Financial Assistance Network. Please call to schedule an appointment with the Assistance program, or go to the “Contact Us” link at the top of this page.
