About This Cause
Founded in 1998, Boxer Luv Rescue (BLR) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to giving new life to homeless Boxers and Boxer mixes in need in the Metro Phoenix area and throughout Arizona. We have documented more than 11,000 rescues since 1998. Boxer Luv is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors who head up teams of individuals who manage every aspect of rescue operations: Intake, Medical, Transporting, Fostering, Adoptions, Fund-raising, Operations, Development, Marketing, Public Relations, and Luv-to-Save Thrift Shop, with the help of approximately 500 BLR volunteers. Boxer Luv is an all-volunteer organization that operates solely on private donations and grants from individuals and corporations. The vast majority of dogs in BLR are rehabilitated in foster homes where they are medically treated, and given time to heal from their physical and emotional wounds before being ready for adoption to qualified families and individuals. All Boxers who are adopted from Boxer Luv have been medically evaluated and treated, and we provide surgeries for injuries or medical conditions as needed. All dogs are spayed or neutered, are microchipped and receive all vaccinations before being adopted to a carefully screened, loving "forever" home. Boxer Luv is proud to be a New Hope Adoption Partner with Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, an affiliate member of the American Boxer Rescue Association, partners with PAC911 of Phoenix and members of the Boxer Foundation.
