Dongyu Gatsal Ling Initiatives is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the education standards and living conditions of Tibetan Buddhist female monastic communities. DGLI also assist a small group of orphans in Tibet.
About This Cause
Dongyu Gatsal Ling Initiatives (initially known as FRIENDS OF DONGYU GATSAL LING INC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the education standards and living conditions of Tibetan Buddhist female monastic communities by increasing public awareness about the challenges they face and raising funds to strengthen their present and future stability. DGLI is inspired by the mission and purposes of Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo and of Dongyu Gatsal Ling Nunnery, a model of self-sufficiency and independence for the future of female spiritual advancement in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. DGLI also assist a small group of Tibetan children left orphaned after the 2010 Yushu earthquake. We offer three (3) projects through Benevity.
