Mission Statement

Since 2008 OBOL's mission is to improve the health of homeless animals and increase their chances for survival and adoption. We aim to eliminate animal homelessness and euthanasia.We accomplish this by: Donating pet food and comfort items to shelters, rescue groups, pets of the homeless, struggling families and veterans with pets, seniors with pets,animal transporters, foster caretakers, and wildlife sanctuaries, including during natural disasters. Advocating for animal welfare through service-oriented humane education to 1,000s of children each year. Promoting "Adoption is the Best Option." Donating pet food and supplies to homeless and low-income pet owners including veterans, the disabled, families, seniors, and people of all backgrounds. We believe that no animal should be abused, neglected or abandoned, spending its existence in fear, pain and hunger, but instead have the right to live a life filled with love and compassion.

About This Cause

We get to 1,000 homeless animals every month. OBOL provides donates recycled and new aid and comfort items to homeless animals that consists of stray, sick, neglected, owner-dumped and abused animals to shelters, rescues, pets of the homeless, fosters and sanctuaries. OBOL is Proudly the Community Parters of the following: 100 Shelters in California 700 plus Animal Rescue Groups (including Independent Rescuers)- dogs, cats, wildlife, rabbit, reptile, birds (seniors, pregnant moms, disabled animals) OBOL has taught over 10,000 kids from pre-school to college how to be kind and respectful to animals and how to be a responsible pet owner. Donated to over 50 organizations that help the homeless on the street but do not have the pet items in their budget and come to OBOL.
