About This Cause
Global Health Corps mobilizes a global community of emerging leaders to build the movement for health equity. Bound by the belief that every person has the right to a healthy, dignified life, GHC knows that everyone has a role to play in realizing this and engaging a diversity of skills, approaches, and backgrounds is critical. GHC competitively recruits recent college graduates and young professionals from diverse professional backgrounds to serve as fellows for a year in existing, high impact partner organizations who have identified crucial gaps in their capacity. Harnessed with an ongoing leadership training curriculum emphasizing systems-thinking, good management, and key leadership traits, GHC fellows are paired together in teams of two which allows them to collaborate, share knowledge, and build a strong, vast leadership network. From counseling homeless youth on chronic disease management in Newark, NJ, to building an electronic medical records system in Malawi, to ensuring HIV-positive mothers have the tools they need to birth HIV-negative babies in Uganda, GHC fellows are positively affecting the health of thousands of people around the world.
