Mission Statement
Missoula Aging Services promotes the independence, dignity, and health of older adults and those who care for them.
About This Cause
Missoula Aging Services is the voice of older adults. We provide programs and services in our communities, empowering people to age with confidence and without fear. Established as a 501-(c)3 nonprofit in 1982 by the Missoula County Commissioners with a modest budget of $279,000 and a staff of five, the organization began providing a small community lunch program called Meals on Wheels and the RSVP and Foster Grandparent (FG) volunteer programs. In 2006, Missoula Aging Services became an Aging and Disability Resource Center to ensure efficient use of resources by serving adults of all ages with disabilities. Nearly 40 years since the founding, the organization stands strong with over 50 staff members and a programs and services budget of more than $4 million.
