Mission Statement
Friends of KRVM began in 2003 as an answer to the licensee (School District 4J) withdrawal of the last vestiges of financial support. Friends of KRVM is a 501 (c) (3) with a board of volunteers. Friends of KRVM is recognized by the Oregon Cultural Trust. Donations to KRVM can be made directly to KRVM or through Friends of KRVM.
About This Cause
The purposes of FRIENDS OF KRVM include the following: To provide financial and volunteer support to KRVM (a public radio station in Eugene, Oregon, licensed to School District 4J) with the goal of supporting the station mission of providing educational opportunities for area students and programming that is of benefit to the community and publicly supported. To educate the general public about the value and importance of publicly-supported, locally-controlled, and locally-produced radio for local news, entertainment, and community information.
