Mission Statement
DC Immersion engages families, supports educators, researches best practices and advocates for a systemic approach to equitably increasing opportunity and strengthening community through multilingual education. We believe in a quality multilingual education for every child in the nation's capital to become an empathetic citizen of the world and for the District and its future workforce to compete successfully in the global marketplace.
About This Cause
We support the implementation of new programs across sectors by equipping educators and administrators them with best practices, resources and professional development. We help strengthen existing programs by identifying and addressing common challenges and supporting common goals across sectors. We advise education institutions in DC and across the country on the policies and practical elements needed to build dual language education systems. We think strategically about system-wide initiatives that strengthen program quality, such as district-wide assessments adoption of the Seal of Biliteracy.
