Mission Statement

You are here: Home / About Us About Us about us Our Mission Statement Central Virginia Regional Rescue is a volunteer based non-profit dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of regional animals into into permanent and loving homes. Through education and community outreach we aspire to eliminate the need for euthanasia as a means of pet population control.

About This Cause

We are a 501c3 organization and all donations are tax deductible. We have no facility and all our animals live as temporary family members in foster homes. We have no paid employees and every dollar donated goes directly to our animals. We proudly share our profits and losses monthly so our supporters can follow our finances. We value a comprehensive adoption process which includes a strong focus on matching the right dog with the right owner to minimize future struggles within the family. All animals in our care receive the recommended vaccinations and tests (felv/fiv testing for felines and heartworm/tick tests for canines). They all receive monthly parasite control and heartworm prevention, are spayed or neutered, and microchipped. To the extent that our finances allow, we assist animals who are in distress without regard to age, breed, or ease of placement.
