Mission Statement
The Mauritania Foundation is a 501(c)(3) certified non-profit organization established in 2016. The Foundation provides support and aid to the people of Mauritania through various charitable initiatives such as community development, clean water wells, medical support, food, and shelter.
About This Cause
While there are many worthy causes in the world today, we cannot forget to support those who are constantly in the face of drought, famine, and, in many cases, starvation. Mauritania consistently experiences droughts and water shortages and most villages struggle with sustainable light sources and electricity. Diseases such as Malaria and access of clean water sources are a major concern in Mauritania and throughout West Africa. Mauritanian residents in the areas surrounding the town of Kiffa have come to depend on the Mauritania Foundation for basic necessities such as food, medicine, clothing, shelter, as well as support with infrastructure, building repair, and clean water well development. Donations made to the Mauritania Foundation go directly to supporting the people of Mauritania: Just $70.00 can feed a family of 7 for 7 days $20,000 will build a new clean water well that can support a village of over 300 individuals Every dollar will make a difference to these precious lives and no donation is too big or small!
